As a huge sports fan, I know I’m ready for the football season to begin (my baseball team isn’t doing so hot this year). One of the things that I’ve recently gotten into and thoroughly enjoy is Fantasy Football. You may be wondering why I’m talking about Fantasy Football on a blog for an Event Planning company? Well, one of the ideas I have for an online fundraising event is to run a Fantasy Football league for charity. It’s an idea I’ve had for a little while but some of the logistics need to be worked out before being able to actually pitch it to a potential client. That said, I want to use this platform to ask if anyone would be interested in using the upcoming football season as a bit of a trial run so I can work out all of the details going forward.
Would you or someone you know be interested in being a part of the Altruistic Events Charity Fantasy Football league this season? If I can get a group of about 12 people together, each paying a an entry fee of $50 to be donated to a charity we can all agree on, I will act as commissioner (and donate the $50 myself, as well) and we can all have some fun while doing good. We’ll have a virtual draft party, weekly updates, and banter between team owners throughout the season. A prize, to be determined (and not taken from the donation pot) would be awarded to the winner of the league at the end of the season.
Please reach out and let me know if you’re interested in being a part of this league. If you know someone this might appeal to, please share this info with them! Looking forward to being engrossed in the season!
